Ive seen lots of loose mountain bars this year, didn't know it would cause a problem like this.
Well why isn't it posted here in a actual skidoo thread? I posted this here because is a skidoo problem, I didn't realize that it was posted in a the general snowmobile forum. Mods delete this if you wish.
I didn't see it anywhere else either. I say leave it where it belongs - in the XP sled forum so others who only frequent certain sections of the forum can see it.
Thanks Caper
i posted it there because it could be a potential issue on all brands. not to mention no one even checks the xp section besides us 3 LOL

This is rather interesting. I have a 2010 and 2012 Summit and I checked both machines. IMHO, there is no friggin' way that that bolt will stretch the throttle cable the way mine came from the dealer. Nothing is long enough to reach the cable. I have over an inch of clearance between the bolt and the cable.
Now has this guy put the bracket up close to the Emergence Engine Stop switch? or maybe not put the throttle cable back in the right place on the handle bar cover? But what doo I know????
Its more an issue on the taper style bar on the X and the Freeride. If the strap is mounted on the fat part of the bar and manages to work itself up the bar towards the tinner part of the taper, its free to move around.
Mountain straps will be banned on 2013 Doo's
You are telling me the bars are different on the SP's. First I knew about that......see what doo I know, eh!
We were talking about it at our dealership today. Whats the chances he had a LH throttle on it and took it off after all the kerfuffle? Very easy for this to happen with a Goldfinger.....
