2012 pro climb suspension set up

Can't seem to get the rear suspension to stay up,cranked
the spring up added air still sag's down lots,any info on set up or swapping shocks out as buddies 1100 turbo stays up with no problems after we cranked his front suspension spring all the way up.

a buddies did that, shock was screwed and dealer had to rebuild it. my was supposed to have fox floats 2 all around but they are only up front and just fox float in the back.

had shock rebuilt by mechanic buddy, knows his stuff, and shock still sags. ... any other ideas, didnt do it when new and sometimes doesnt do it now, gremlin maybe? or just go buy float 2? should have come with what they say in the brochure. imo

I was hoping you could address a concern regarding the rear shock on my new
Proclimb M8 153 SP LTD.
In the printed brochure as well as online it states the following: FOX
Float 2 shock on rear arm.
The problem is that my new sled came with a Fox Float instead of a Float 2
on the rear arm. I have checked with some friends that also have SnoPro's
and Limited 50th and they do not have the Float 2's either.

Before I go out and spend more cash on a decent shock I would like to know
why these machines are not equipped as advertised.

Sorry for the late reply. I did not hear about this prior to your e-mail and wanted to verify with the snowmobile product manager at the factory.

The response that I received is that in fact your machine does have the Fox Float 2 shocks. Fox Shocks installed the incorrect decal. Our service team is aware of this issue and information will be sent to our dealer network shortly.

First ride this past weekend and got to the top of the hill and exact same problem sacked right out!.. Now i had a timbersled rear suspension with the same shock last year on my doo and it never sacked out like this. My dealer wont have a clue what to do with with it. Anyone have any ideas? warrenty? new shock?

I am curious how others are modifying the suspension on their ProClimbs- I am struggling with handling it bcz it feels very front heavy, and I am told it's a matter of set-up???

hey guys... nice someone is lucky enough to be riding.. i will look into the suspension issue and see what cat recommends. and get the suspenion tuning instructions. it is all dependant on rider size and style so keep that in mind. I know that all of our new sleds go out set up in the center or middle setting. Technically we are supposed to set it up for rider weight measuring sage etc.. however this is a mute point if your doing cliff jumps...as an example as everyone
rides different.. we ask the customer to try it and it can then be adusted either way to suit there style.. typically if your front end is heavy you can tighten up the front shock all the way.. and also pump up the front shocks. this off course will work best in the powder and be rough on the hard pack... not sure what to say as far as the "decal" issue goes, i know this i have know Kory for many years before he came to cat and as my rep when he did come to cat , and he has never bs d me once... if he asked the question and they gave him that answer thats what he would tell you..if there was an issue imo he would tell you that aswell... i have had many reps over my 20 yrs in business and he is certainly top shelf...

keep riding and posting your concerns as concerns... we have had fox float issues in the past, once rebuilt i haven t heard any more complaints.. my own 2011 m8 snpro had a shock gremlin as i switched it out with m6 coil over and had no more problems.. since i put my float on the m6 it has been used many times without a failure... wtf...i know... so now i have a coil over witha green spring on my white snopro... hmmm but it works... sometimes simple is best... i better check i think they may have sold that m6! fml....

Exactly Terry! I haven't done anything since I loaded it onto the trailer: took a little air out of the front shocks and rode the pi** out of it. Even without too much modification, it pops right up on the snow and floats into the turns. I just don't know what the suggested settings for my size are, and I don't really want to just do the trial and error method. I'd like to start with an educated guess and fine tune from there. The sled is amazing on the trail, which tells me its probably not set up for boondocking and mountain terrain the way it should be!! Jeremy is 230lbs and it works well for him. Minus 105 lbs for me... so I need to do what??? Also, do I need to reduce the stiffness of the back shock, because when I jump, it comes back up and hits me in the ass ?!?

Love the sled for sure- especially the feel of the throttle and the power band...

You could try letting the limit strap out, tightening up the front skid shock, and dropping the rear shock PSI. I'd start around 105-110 PSI for someone as light as you are. I also dropped my front shocks to 60 PSI mag side (Jaws can)/63 PSI PTO side on mine. For the record the rear shock on my sled sags bad too with 140 PSI; so I am also thinking of turfing it for a coil over like Terry did.

Thank you! I actually didn't know that you should have slightly different PSI's for the mag and PTO sides... I definitely am letting the limiter strap out, because it won't stand up the way I like (things are just cooler when you wheelie!!) I appreciate your feedback. I am certainly considering coil-over shocks in the bigger picture. I'm going to start with these changes and see how I make out.

ok talked to arctic cat about the rear shock sagging. i need to make sure your talking about the rear shock... they are requesting varification.
as they say there has been a few issues in the past but this yr its a new shock...i know the part number is different, as it is a fox float 2 on the 2012, and the 2011 are fox floats... and he confirmed a error in labeling the shocks, as the body is the same its the valving that is different.

so if i can have couple of you say yes then i can proceed with it.

i am also looking into info on a roll over valve - option/requirement. for the fourstrokes.. let me know if any one has any other questions or concerns..

HAHAHAHA Ya funny they only put the wrong sticker on the rear shocks, guess the guy puting the front shock stickers on gets paid more... Good one Cat ya almost got me AHAHA

Dealer checked back shock it was good but the dealer gave me a new shock to try still a problem with sag,front spring cranked to the top.New sled works awesome no other issues but if arctic cat or the dealer can't solve the suspension issue without me having to put a bunch of money into it,a new sled will be comming...
