i do gotta say.. if mine is in reference to this a lil bit.. i have over 9000km on my boosted sled. and was always ran hard.. but i dont think its a motor.. just a fuel pump.. :d its still in mcbride tho:realmad:

It was one of the ones i was thinkin of. I heard it had no compression on a hole or two. Hopefully it is just the fuel pump and i read it wrong on here. But 9000km is pretty good. And it's like i've always said all sleds can have issues sometimes more so once modded. The biggest thing that i like about the four stroke cat is that it is supposed to be around the 520lb mark from what i'm told and hopefully it will make yammy step it up abit and bring there weights down and hopefully doo will put there four stroke in a full mtn chasis. As far as i'm concerned it is a good thing for the sport be cause it drives all the brands to make things better for us the consumer.

Same weight if not a few lbs heavier than the shipped weight on my 11 m8, the shipped weight on my sled was 470lbs

I could tell you.....but you know the rest.

Sweden

From a Cat brochure there. Not sure they are gospel truth at this point, but the only published info so far.

glen if everyone rides a 4stroke your shop wont be very busy.

Nah, it just changes what you do at the shop. More mods and lightweight work. But i do hope for more two strokes cause thats what i like to ride.

so i think the 2011's where around the 460lbs mark no??? so that 1100T is probably around the 575lbs mark... makes sense 575 + 90 (claimed loss) = 665lbs for 2011 model

According to Amsnow they are the same weight as the 11 for the 800. Not sure what is weighed. I am a little sad because I had heard so much about 420 lbs and 185 hp out of the 800 really wanted to see how they were going to do it. Would have been good for all of us down the road.

After seeing how the new chasis is designed and such i dont see how it can weigh as much as last years. It should be lighter.

From AMSNOW Website "Cat says up to 85 lbs. lighter than some of its current models, with the caveat that the new M sleds, the mountain machines are virtually the same weight as the 2011 models. But Cat is quick to add that its engineers think their mountain rockets are exactly the proper mixture of lightness and durability"

Not sure what to tell you but sounds like Cat riders will have a better handling M8 not that that is a bad thing but it's not going to be anywhere near the 420lbs the rumour mills had going.

Pull the skid and track and lose close to another 90-100 lbs if not more!
