Hmmm..That air pump idea sounds ridiculous. I could see plenty of tuning issues with aftermarket products like how to get more air and fuel in, what about when the air pump fails? And they will. Dumbest idea I've heard yet.

Everything fails sooner or later, it would matter how often it failed!...Also how it affects the output power is gonna be interesting....

When has cat ever been hard to mod or tune. The best two stroke for bolt on power has always been cat. I'm sure they are sticking to there commitment to hp and modability

I don't think they're any easier to mod than a doo, or Polaris. Or gain anymore power than either brand with the same bolt on's

But back to that article, I hope they do bring direct injection, they would be up to current technology motor wise, and should obviously be up to technology with the new chassis. We'll know soon enough if it's a good change.

What I'm hoping to see is a better steering system rather than the steering post coming vertical from the chassis and to get rid of fox floats for suspension. I don't care what anyone says, they suck. The coil overs work far better.

WTF?!?! This is what makes kitties easier to maneuver than other sleds. The Ski-doo riser angle pulls you over the opposite way you want to be when you try to sidehill, making it more difficult. That is the main thing holding me back from picking up an Etec.

Lol and the funny thing is, is that's the only thing I hate about my cat. Maybe it's just me though. I can always upgrade the suspension. It's a lot harder to change steering geometry. Those are my only 2 things I don't like. But I'll put up with those for their rock solid motor.

C3 powersports makes an aftermarket bracket that straightens the steering post on the xp.

Yeah I have and I still can't work with them with that stupid angle between post and riser. Why would I want it to pull me over the sled while counter steering?
