Whats your budget? I think you will be happy with either machine. To some $1800 is nothing but like maxwell said, with the ptek thats a pipe, can, reeds, clutch kit (if you think it needs clutching) and you will be making more HP's than the e-tec and also better throttle response.

There isnt much of a Budget basically if i get the SP it Costs me 500 bucks if i get the Etec X it costs me $2300

I did very well on my Rock incident.

no matter how good the sled is from the factory. ( the etec is pretty damn good ) also the 10/11 summit pteks aswell.....they still need a few things and it adds up. look at those costs on top of your etec and make the decision. items you plan on adding right away

In reality the only things i can really see my slef putting on it is a Can and a Clutch kit. Maybe in the next year. Maybe a Wrap.

If you are basing your decision on resale go with the SP. The X will not sell for $2000+ more than the SP. If someone is going to buy a sled with 3000+ kms they will consider the cost of repairs. The Powertech motor is a lot cheaper to replace.

Sp is a nice sled, you could put alot of add ons to make it your sled. Etec is nice but add ons are limited for now. I think you'll be happy on eitber one.

So I Dropped the hammer and bought the 2011 summit x 154 etec all black. Would have loved to buy local but my dealer didnt have ones. Thanks riverside for the great price on the SP I will definitely be buying my parts from you guys and buying toys from you in the future.

However thank you very much bowcycle south -lucas for giving me a great price on the etec appreciate it and will definitely buy from you in the future. Looking forward to trying this new machine out.
