these sled companys should get back down to earth and build some cheaper family and starter machines, not everyone can justify $6000 for the bottom line machine and $15,000 for top,we ride about 3 months in Alberta.???

my first New Machine was a 72 Elan for $625.00 and last Brand New machine was in 1981 a Blizzard 5500 MX was $2100 if I remember right. then all used sleds since then.

so buy an everest for 4000 less and put a set of bars and some fox floats on it.

oh

and a WRAP!!

dude the FREERIDE is a lot more than that...did you even watch the vid?

1. built on the RS chassy - super tough
2. anti stab 4 wheel kit
3. RSI freeride bars
4. adjustable shocks
5. 10 wrap packages
6. no controls other than brakes and throttle and kill on bars
7. wider stance to land those drops ansd jumps
8. new dash
9. all other X-package features, such as braided brake lines, waved stainless brake rotor, low winshield,
10. all new skis
11. THE ALL NEW 2011 800R etech - cause that was offered in 2010

just to name a few differences

and all this comin from a dude on a yammi......

someone sounds bitter he wont have one next year???

I live in Alberta and ride 6 months of the year, November till April, in the mountians. Perhaps you should get out sledding more.
Takes 3 hours and 10 minuts from my driveway to the Gorman parking lot.'

thats all just bolt on junk. what we really need is some more ponies.

man it doesnt take much to excite you guys.

i have a 2010 and i picked up the last carb 2010 163 in alberta probly. thankgod i did.

like really you guys are so excited about this crap thats been on the aftermarket for YEARS.

4 wheel kits!!! holy smokes!!

decals!! WOW

skis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no way! because those didnt exist already?

etec? been around now. looks good but not for me.

clean handlebars? uhhh ok....mine looked like that in about ten minutes

not saying its not a good package..because it deffinetly is.

they have basically just taken what we have been doing to the xp machines for the last 3 years and made a factory version.

I'm just stoked for those wizzy shocks with external adjustment, I cant belive how crappy stock shocks are, and yes those bars look just like the ones on my sled, and I like my wrap better....
anyhow, I hope I sell a heap of them.......

We have it pretty good in Calgary being on 2 and change from Golden! The more northern exposed have a longer haul to McBride and Valemont making the day trip more difficult. In the past 3 years I've made roughly 10 day trips to either Golden or Fernie.

The 2011 sleds look pretty nice though... The 36" stance would be nice... not to mention the etec.

I agree with you on some of the bolt on stuff, But the engine is pretty impressive.
Took one for a demo ride, strong power all the way through, and very quick response to the throttle. Nice crisp running engine.
Might have to wait a year though untill they get all the bugs out of it if there are any

yah the engine technology is impressive.....but still 150hp.

we have been at 150hp for over ten years now.......180 would be nice in a factory machine...

but i guess with emmisions thats not possible

+ or - 10HP does not matter. independant dynos will vary from advertised.

also 10hp can be soaked up pretty quick by rider alone.
