A friend of mine has one, been on a couple of rides with him , it seemed like it done allrite to me... He likes it but he is concerened if he adds to much weight it will slow it down to much..

having never seen one in action, i could not imagine having less power than my rhino 700, it really barely has enough, i know people love the 450 rhino though so i guess it is a matter of opinion.

We have quads but needed something a little safer for taking smaller children with us. Didn't buy it to rip up the mud, just to pack a few supplies and somewhere for a couple kids to ride. Have not rode it much but seems to be all right.

if you have no need to drive through deep mud or steep hills, it will be fine. most guys must have the fire breather's to stoke their ego. the 400 won't be the fastest or the nastiest, but for around an acreage, farm site or in the eastern part of the province you will get a lot of use out of it.

It's called a Ranger 400 but has the 500 cc carbed engine and is lighter then the full size so it has it's place. Something for the ladies to drive and pack the young kids. Personally would like the big power sxs but it would just cost me more money.

you sound sensible, looks like you looked around and for your purpose it fills the bill. see if they will let you have a test drive for a day or two. from what you describe for use, it sounds like it is what your looking for. i will say that i have very rarely heard someone say " it's got to much power".
