Here are some pics from last weekend. Been to Vale 4 times this year and the conditions were by far the best theyve been. Cannot wait to go back Jan 21-23.

Hi there,
I have never been riding in the mountains before but am dying to come see all this snow. I am planning on coming up there for Jan 21 - Jan 23. The road conditions are not my biggest concern. Is there riding areas in Valemount where a person can enjoy the snow and be relatively safe from the avalanche threats? Im all about having a good time but want to stay alive!! :d

From what I have read it seems that Clemina Creek would be the best bet for a beginner mountain rider...

Cheers, Bobby

Im sorry, the snow will wait, these roads are not worth it guys

Highway 16 is closed 65km east of the junction with an planned opening at 6pm with very low confidence of opening on time.

BE SAFE

I would say Chappel would be more up your alley for the first time

Same here. Staying at maligne lodge.
Apparently 3 semis collided. One death. Highway closed for investigation. Will be in town first thing.
