2009 Ski Doo XP no spark periodically!!

I have a 2009 Skidoo 800 XP and I was driving it the other day everything was running good I shut it off and it wouldn't start just crank and crank but wouldn't fire! So we started to tow it out and about half way down the trail it started again! Now I have tried to start it 20 times since then and it starts everytime. Anyone know what could be the problem?

On some xps there was a red wire in behind the oil tank that would break. Check that or all your kill switch wires.

Definitely a connection problem somewhere. Get it running, check for codes, start wiggling things, watch out for the spinning clutch!

I have seen a case where the wires from the stater rub through on the motor mount that is right behind the oil tank on an 08 xp causing them to ground intermittently.

the same thing happened to my 2009 xp and it was a wire shorting out under the engine.....

Ripped it apart to find a rubbed red wire that shorted on the frame! Fixed the wire and hoping this solves the problem. Thanks for the help everyone
