Once the updates are done - I think it was the best of the Rev based sleds.

The stock track isn't the greatest in the early season, bottomless stuff. A CHallenger track trenches less. It is a great track I think for Feb - April riding - where there is a set-up base, even if there is 2 -3 feet of fresh on top of it.

In terms of clutching - I got the roller updates, etc. last year. Always had quick clickers Worked pretty good.

Put on Dynamo Joes kit. Works wayyyy better. Gives the roller secondary some "engine braking" - similar to the 05/06 Rev 800s. But the 800R is a much stronger engine than those two years.

You should be able to get some good deals on them. Plus - they are to me the best looking sled ever produced

I got a 07 XRS 159 and have had no problems with mine. I only got about 700-800 miles as i screwed my leg up last year and didnt ride much. But all in all its the nicest rev i think. Im gonna do some work to mine this year, but well see what im gonna do as i need another sled for the girl friend. But i think the biggest thing is when you stop for a break to let the motor run for a minute or two just to let it cool down a bit from just working hard. As for the track, yes it trenches, but if you know how to ride its not a big deal as mine doesnt trench to bad if you set up your suspension right. But a challenger xtreme is going on mine this year or next i think.

Do the track this year if you can as will make a HUGE difference to that sled..

X2 on changing the track on that sled, i run an XRS 159 with a head/can/powdermax/DJ clutching, and aside from getting the clutching perfected (clutchiing needs to be addressed first) the track was the largest performance increase in the mtns, also the powdermax allowed much easier and consistent clutch tuning. camoplast has an equivalent track available and there are take offs around that can be had at decent prices. sell your old one, and it's a cheap mod with huge performance increases.

i cut many of the stiffeners off the track to soften the paddles and it works way better!

The camoplast extreme 2.5in track fits in that sled really easily. All's you need is the track, drivers, new upper idler wheels.
