2007 Rev belt squeal

So my buddy has a 07 Rev that squeals quite a bit. He figures it's coming from the secondary. Do they need the clutches shimmed or aligned? He bought the chassis from one guy and the motor from another guy and had a local shop put it all together so I figure they would have done that when they did the install.

Did he check to make the belt deflection isn't too tight?

X2 on the belt deflection. Check owner's manual for proper height. Probably ~1/8" above the secondary

Squeals at idle. I'll check the belt deflection when I get home. He's still new to sledding.

Make sure it is the right belt maybe it is too short.

just make sure you didnt have it in reverse when you check belt deflection. sound silly ??? I've seen guys fark it up that way ... me too ...

That's a starting point. When it's set right on a track stand you should be able to lightly push the track around with a finger on a paddle.
