2003 chev speed gauge at max

I have a 2003 chev 1500, the speedometer gauge is burried as far right as it can go, then relaxes to 160. Once it was sitting at 40 when not moving the truck, and would go up from there as you got faster. A week later it went back to working properly. Now it's burried right. What would be the problem to look at.

Stepper motors, you can buy a kit from Amazon etc. and replace yourself. Or for a few hundred bucks send it out. If you are okay with some soldering it's fairly easy, do all the bulbs while you are in there. guy in edm repairs them. I think i paid 160 for my cluster. Can add blue LED if wanted instead.
he also can do the hvac controls to new if those burnt out too

I wonder if he can replace the stepper motor for the fuel gauge of my bobcat?

I guess I may as well do the oil pressure one too, it's full to the right to on the gauge also.

he does the whole cluster. I might get my interior done with new bulbs, defrost doesnt light up at night. 500 buvks for whole isnide to be done
