Can anyone tell me if there is a way to reduce compression on a 670 ski doo. It takes two man and a baby to pull it over, there is only 1982 miles on these sled. But so hard to pull it over. It runs like a champ.

Pull it a part and find out what's going on? Personally I would do pistons to. You might of got snow in you motor one time or cold seized a bit and have scoring on your cylinders. Then you might needs a new jug to.

670 is not nikasil so if you did scuff it you might be able to just hone. Measure piston clearance, if in spec throw a new set of SPI/SPX pistons in it. If out of spec, bore to next size and give er chit. Your sled must be a 99 not a 2000. 670 last year was 99.

Check what starter you have on it. The crankcase accepts 2 styles. There is one that bolts to the side of the crankcase inside the lip, and one that is larger and bolts to the crankcase on the outer lip and then clamps on using a rubber seal and a "C" clamp style bracket. The "C" clamp style that mounts flush to the outer lip is the bigger one and will make starting much easier. If you've go the little one on it, then I'll bet its hard to start. Otherwise, take the head off and send it to the Crank Shop in Vermont, just down the road from you. Have them take some material out of the head. That's about your only option.
