Depends what kind of shape its in. New truck is 100k almost. those old square fords are a nice looking rig, Id pay 25g for a clean/low mile one forsure.
Maybe 30 if it was really nice.

There’s no way I would pay 90000+ for a truck. But in the other hand I wouldn’t pay that much for a used truck that’s almost 20 years old.

Why would anyone pay $90k for a truck? If you are paying $90k for any pickup you're an idiot. A 90k sticker truck can be had for MILES less.

I'm looking at a $86k sticker Dodge and right now the dealer is at $63k all in and it's pretty loaded.

It may seem like a lot. But i'm not one of those people who owns a pickup to own a pickup. I need one for my business, and they make me money $800 payment or whatever it is a month is money well spent, plus it's all a write off. I can't be bothered to drive something old that needs repairs. Considering trade in my 13 work truck on new one even, for $15k difference to have a brand new the exact same sure isn't much money.

They don't sell truck anymore they sell financing. Just the same as toys like sleds and rv's.

It's a 13 ram 3500 crew cab slt 106km offering 38k trade, so 40k with gst factored in. Honestly, it's not a "pristine" truck by any means.

A buddy just got $21,000 for his 2004 Duramax (LB7) with 170,000km on it. Four of them would be $84,000.

The market spoke, there is a reason the Dodge's fetch such big dollars. Try and sell a ford or gm of that year/km for that price, you'd need 4 of them.

Decent used trucks are getting very hard to find.....brokers are moving everything relatively new and healthy to the states. That and the fact that new trucks are getting extremely expensive, which drives up the price of used stuff. The bad news is it’s only gonna get worse....

I bought my truck 4 years ago brand new, it's lost about $13k in value, can't complain about that. To buy the exact same truck the sticker price has risen about $2-3k, so like 1% a year, but with the way used has shot up it hasn't changed a whole lot.

But what i'm saying is, if used shot up when you own a truck, you're benefiting when you go to sell. New prices are really only climbing with inflation. They may seem to be jumping a lot because so many new options are always coming, but it doesn't mean you need to get them.

You may win once, but vechile prices are definitely outpacing inflation.

Why is there so many Dodges for sale? Just did a quick search for diesel 3500's (in my price/km range) and there was 58 hits vs 16 GMC/Chev. At least that is keeping the price down somewhat if you want a Cummins. What guys are asking for a Dmax is crazy.
