I believe there is a clip out there of a guy shooting a moose and killing it with his handgun while sledding. It was a big controversy and the US version of Fish and Wildlife was trying to get peeps to report to them if they knew who the riders were.
There was a video with the same situation, dumb ass chasing a moose down a trail. Midway through the video I was hoping for a Wildlife officer to appear at the same time thinking at least they dont have a gun. Low and behold, they're packing a Glock. What is with the Village Idiot mentality and packing heat. The chances of meeting a foreign invader or a terrorist threat (insert paranoid fear here) on a snowmobile trail is pretty remote.
Nothing wrong with carrying a shotgun or rifle out in the bush. I'd question the usefulness of a handgun unless it were a cannon. Better to have something you can hit what you aim at in a high stress situation. Be nice not to leave a wounded critter in the bush too.Why do you assume someone who is carrying is a village idiot? Quit watching CBC.
Tons of guys on here carry a gun be it quadding, fishing etc. I guess we are idiots?

That guy had it coming, frigging idiot chasing a Moose with his sled, hope he leard a lesson
It's amazing that after videos like this people still don't learn. I mean seriously how hard is it to stop as soon as you see it and let it find it's own way off the trail?
none of us know the facts ...
maybe just maybe, the moose was trespassing ???
Nobody else had the situation where the moose just won't leave the trail?
