Blue River B.C.
Two people have been killed in an avalanche near Blue River, B.C., close to the Alberta border.
Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) say the two people were snowmobiling and were part of a party of seven people.
KSAR manager Alan Hobler says his team has been called to assist Wells Gray Search and Rescue.
Crews are currently on their way to the site of the avalanche.
There are few details available at this time, but we will update this story when more information is confirmed.
Twelve people have now died in avalanches in Western Canada so far this season.
