My mom bought this sled new in 99 and it hasn't seen much action. My wife is looking to try out a poker rally or a bit of trail riding this winter. 2 pulls it fired up and idled, washed it up and its shining 20 years later. I need a track for it, 121x1-1/4" or probably stretch it to 136?

Thanks! She's got just over 1200km, biggest damage is a bent lower suspension link... missing a couple little windshield screws, one hood decal is lifting a bit. I found Ekholms and ditched the factory steel skis years ago.

So I am having trouble finding a used track... is the 121-136 stretch really worth it? I might just order one of these Composit T320 in 121 and be done. Thoughts?

Probably build some 2-3" drop brackets as well, does a guy drop the front too? I never worked on these trailing arm chassis sleds much.

Regarding drop brackets, be aware that you’ll be transferring weight to the front of the sled, resulting in heavier steering effort. Not a huge deal in loose snow, but not so great for trail handling.

Went down the rabbit hole last night and found they sold 136x1.5" kits for them. now I'm thinking a 121x1.5 would be a pretty good lug and wouldn't take as much power to turn than a 136x1.5? but if im buyin a track... extensions are cheap... why not?

track speed with 121 vs floatation of 136.... what wins?

We have 3 short track phasers and one 136" phazer at the farm.
There is a serious lack of power to turn the 136 and the 121 floats dam near the same.
If this is for a youth I would stick with the 121.
Just my 2 bits worth.

Our phazers are all 1990-1992 older body styles with stock clutching.

Do you think a smaller driver or gear down might help the 136? the sleds for my wife, not expecting it to be a powerhouse, just don't want to be digging this thing out all of the time...

121x1.5 will be a huge improvement on the stocker.

I gather this is a flatlane sled.
I would just run it with the 1.5 and if anything then a slight gear down.

I have no idea what is out there for Phazer clutch parts but you are dealing with a 62hp sled. Small gearing change if needed way easier.

The track on my phazer is a 1.5x136, to much track in spring snow, lacks power for the 136.
In powder it is really good.
Depends on how much you want to tinker.

The end goal is getting the wife and kid to the Allan Cabin, could take years lol But we go out to Bruderheim in the winter and want to hit up some poker rallies and stuff.

I don't want tinker. I just like to get the biggest bang for buck. 800$ track or 1000$ with extensions, but I really think I'm starting to pick the fly **** out of pepper!

My kids drove a Polaris 550 SuperSport to Bell, Lucille an Renshaw cabins on a 121 X 3/4".
Not much past the cabin mind you.
Re-jetting was the biggest issue.
Once I saw they liked it, it was 600 and 700 sleds for them - I'd buy a bigger sled before modding a Phazer - just my opinion though.

The three Pazers my brother has at the farm are all 3/4" tracks -they work fine as is.
We put zero dollars into modding the Phazers, they live stock lives.
My 1.5x136 is stock also.
Had a piped ad jetted one once that went really really well on a 121x1.5, but not very often....lol.

My buddy had one those sleds in the mountain lite trim and it was a turd. We called it the mountain heavy. I say leave it alone.

I have to agree that the first body style Phazer floated waaay better that the second body style Phazer.
NoBrakes has the heavier version - more power but less float.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

My wife has ridden all of my 800 sleds but struggles with the "tippyness" and power. This will be a powder couch she can sit and ride.

I couldn't let it sit any longer, and also didn't want to buy her a new rig until she gets comfortable. was really interested in getting her a newer 600 summit eventually.

I found a new camso intense 121x15x1.5 for around 610 shipped to my door. I think that's the answer....
