1999 600 summit tehther cord

have 1999 600 summit for my daughter and the tehther does not work you can pull it off and the sled still runs it has the coded tether for it ,any one else had this problem.

well im guessing that its not hooked up right because how they work is when the tehther cord comes out it wont let spark to the motor makeing it die so there for its not connected properly check the wires try clean them up a bit it might help

hmm if its a dess tether cord then there uasly isnt a way to by pass it, are you sure its the coded one?

checked it ,it is hooked up , it is the dess and when you start the sled somtimes it has a miss fire so you push the tether on and it runs fine so you pull the tehther to shut the machine off and it still runs..
