I have to go with something older than 2000 or my insurance is out the a$$. Plus I look at it if a vehicle costs 2500 a year it's a good buy. At 85000 km more on the 04 did you really save 5000 over this truck?

The point I was getting at is, it's 6 years newer and worth more even with the extra km's.

Whether a cummins has 40km or 200km on it doesn't really matter. Especially for the older ones without the emissions garbage, unless there is a issue from factory they pretty much all go like 500km+ or just outlast the truck. The tranny is good because they don't last forever though. You can find a better deal i'm sure. Even if he has records for it, IMO the motor being done HURTS the resale.

Unless you plan to keep it forever you have to look at resale, and the fact is it's a 13 year old truck. Any way you cut it, in stock form it's not worth $10k. Probably $8k I would say.
