1997 summit 500 reverse

I’m looking at a reverse chain case off a 95 summit 583 and I’m wondering if it will fit my 97. I know they are different chassis. Doo dealerships are of no help.

Check into the brakes, most reverse setups used cable for brakes and not hydro...

Cases mounts are same ect

I blew a chain case in a 96 sls 500 that had reverse, switched it to 97 summit non reverse cases and hydro brakes, bought the hole parts kit from sled parlor

I think Tex is correct. The 95 Summit had a cable brake while the 97 was hydraulic. It’s likely you’ll have problems attaching the 97 brake hardware.

If I recall the case halfs are way different

The 97's had hydraulic brakes; I use to have one.
