Nice looking install but i have a few questions:

If a guy did have to change his Quick Drive belt how hard is it to remove the cooler and what not that’s in the way?
Any special tools need?
Would you lose a bunch of fluid from the cooler? (Assuming it is a water to air system)
Dose the exhaust exit both the bottom (Stock hole) and the side panel?
If so why?

We find the dual exhaust will not plug off in any conditions. The intercooler slides out of the way to change the belt easily with no special tools and no need to remove antifeeze.

We have now run the HM standalone pump gas kit in the mountains. The kit ran at 7lbs of boost in Sicamous 1200ft to 7200ft elevation and ran great. The sled did not have any hiccups at all. The 240 kits will be on the snow by the end of the week. I personally will be riding one myself. Any questions please do not hesitate to call Mountain Magic at (780) 474-9400.

How has the vipec standalone been working? Are their any adjustments you can make on the hill if conditions like air pressure changes?? Or does that have to be done by laptop?

I see.. I don't understand why a guy would chance a system like the vipec when you can't make adjustments on the hill.
We all know weather changes up at elevation quite often, so if that is going to affect the performance of your sled and you can't do anything about it is it worth it?
I can make small changes at any time on the hill whenever I want with my XIC BoostIt to get the best results all day.

Who knows, I guess time will tell if these vipec systems will work.

If the Vipec is setup correctly you shouldnt EVER have to mess with it,, It compensates for changes in Barametric pressure, Correct? Its like driving a turbo car... just pin it and hold on..lol

Ya I'm not sure how vipec works.... But you can't compare a turbo car to a turbo mountain sled.

Yeah dont do alot of deep powder with the subaru,, But if a sleds ECU worked as good as the cars id be buying that setup...

The Vipec is true standalone. It automatically adjusts for all changing conditions to maximize engine performance at all times. There is nothing to touch or any need to on the hill. The only programming is done at our shop. As I stated the sled was run from 1200ft to 7200ft in changing conditions and ran very well.

450+ miles on my hm 240 kit with the vipec, i ride from 2000-6500 feet and i havent had a single problem or tuning issue yet. Too many people running stuff down that they have never seen or tried in person!! the joys of the internet i guess. Ill put my hm up against any other 800 turbo.

Well all he has to do is drive back down and hook up to laptop and change his map... Then go back up and hope it works better. Sounds pretty good.

So who's map are you guys running in this Viper unit? Is it HM's map or your own? Have you modified the map in any way to get it to run up here? How does the Vipec work exactly when a ridge of low/high pressure moves in? How much will it compensate and is it an overall compensation like a main fuel compensation or will it give it more/less fuel in every RPM increment when
needed? Can you turn the boost up and down?
