tighest area in the chaincase on a 7 tooth driver and 3 inch track, is right above the driver, there is around a 1/4 to 3/8 of a inch, but we have found the 3 inch to work very well on the stock chaincase

as for track speed. i found my best track speed with the 2.33 ratio, and shockware set steep on my setup

only thing you will notice quick is the skid issue, or lack of... from the extra traction

I think i need to try it first with 21/49 gearing and see where that takes me. What is the worst that will happen running too low of ratio? I shouldn't need a chain for the first ride with the track will I? I have 800kms on the chain right now with the 2.5.

1/4 above the driver, i beg to differ. I know the one we did it seems like .100 thou or so. But i will not deny the fact that even with the cleanrence this tight.... this sled works awasome. If there is 5 ft of power, it will walk past my bigbore with a stock track. I need momentum, the 3" just has traction still. But if there is only 12" roughly, the big bore still walks by :d

hey i was just on the crazy mountain extreme website... does anyone know why they say the 2 5/16 paddle is best for "all around" conditions. Seems opposite of what everyone here is sayin

because all around means mountain, trail, ditches, lakes, chutes, deep powder, shallow powder, sand, water, and we care about 2 or 3 of those conditions.

Chalk up another satisfied customer. This track is awesome! The track speed is about what i expected and changing snow conditions has a much greater affect on RPMs and track speed than the 2.5 but it almost doesn't matter. If the track speed is low and RPMs are spot on the sled still takes forever to lose momentum and stop climbing. Same if the track speed is high and the RPMs are off by 3-400. Messing around in the trees is fun again!

put a turbo on the etec and took it out to the hills to try, with the 3 inch, a few guys were stating the extra hp was going to have the track strect more in the front side of the drivers and rub against heat exchangers, they seen it before

we checked and there is closer to one inch on front side of driver, its directly above the driver where shes tighter, and i run the track very loose, so far no issues..... only running 4 lbs boost and hitting over 72mph track speed in less than a few seconds, so far all good
