3" works well crash. Add a coupled suspension and that thing will rock. Enjoyed sledding with you Sunday, hope you marked the Turtle down chute on your GPS lol.

just put one on the etec, and it is sweet, from the way it compares to a stock etec, its like 50 percent more thrust, now having skid issues, just cannot keep front end down, i see racersedge skid soon, but am going to try the sizors relocate first, its a bit cheaper:d

Are you both running the 21/49 gearing that the sled comes with? I bought the track last week and will be using it this weekend.

Going to put on the 174 and extended case. I probably won't get the 860 till summer so hopefully I can rotate it.

yes i am running stock gearing21/49, and using stock clutching, with 7 grams extra pin weight and one softer primary pur/pur spring, ran clicker two at 7500 feet

i also have done the shim mod to push out the secondary, and she runs real sweet at 8000rpm, backshifts very good, and seen between 51 to 54mph climbing

Holy crap thats a lot of track speed. that thing must be a monster.

Is it the engagement or the finishing pressure that is softer?

that is finishing rate, i seam to get a quick overrev once i first pin it, once i installed the solfter spring that was taken care of

as for track speed i have the smaller drivers so i need to reduce that speed by 9.1 percent.... so it would be around the 47 to 49 actual, but that is with the 3 inch track

I am running stock gearing rooster clutching SHR 860 sizcor relocater and the only problem i have is keeping the front end down. This sled rocks and when I get a skid and can get the front end down and get even more of the track in the snow it will be the perfect monster.
Climbin can't wait to to try yours if you get that 174 on it :d

I would like to get a bb right away as well but it seems that there has been bad experiences with every builder. I thought your 860 ran pretty strong, does SHR make an 880? My 800 runs well but that track might be too much for it.

Climbin I don't think they make a 880. Mine runs pretty strong for pump gas and I'm sure someone like you could get more out of it. I have herd bikemen performance 880 kit is good.

my 2011 ptec with a couple of things turns the 174x3" very well, the head and pipe set and good clutching is key but the 800r is real strong in 11 compared to older years, dont know why. this motor is stronger than my e tec i just sold also, i am running exact clutching but i can pull 2 12mm set screws in each pim more than the etec could at the same rpm. the 800r is awesome except for throttle pull, lol.

here is a video from this last weekend, i took a buddys 860 174 by 3 inch up a shoot, and she was pulling 8000rpm, but there was some type of ticking noise, but turned out to be a bad belt, his track speed was 44mph and he runs a robbie chaincase mod

i run a 880xp as well and did the pull right before with it, it has a 163 by 3 inch, track speed was 57mph but that is with the smaller drivers, so it corrected to 51mph, and it felt like a lot more speed
