162 track?

Any of you ladies ever ridden a 162inch track. I am looking at getting another sled, everything about it is awesome other then the track is a little long, 162. I am a small female 110lbs and am worried about the length! Thoughts?

My first "real" sled was an Apex 162" and now I ride an M8 with a 153". I honestly didn't notice a huge difference other than climbing and being in powder where I still wish I had my 162" for the extra traction. For the Arctic Cats its only about a 3-4" difference of track thats actually on the ground, depending on model and everything. But the 162" can be a little trickier if you like to ride trees, thats where those couple inches may seem a little tougher to manouver.

Don't get caught up in the guy's telling you the track is too long for you cause it's not true.
My wife has been riding a 163 for 3 years now coming from a 153" and she will tell once bitten you will never look back. It is WAY easier to ride the longer track sled if your riding mountains, you can make alot of mistakes and the sled will make up for it.
What she generally tell the guy's is,"i have to keep up to this guy". Even the dealer are trying to tell her the 153-155 are better for women, she just laugh. Its like saying a 600 is better for women LOL.......that i've also heard, even from dealers.
If your loving the sled and not sure about track length......DOIT, you'll love it even more with the 163". Dont let the boys talk you out of it.

BTW the longer 163 IS NOT harder to ride in the tree's, even in the tightest situation as you can maneuver VERY slow in comparison to a shorter 153-155, those few extra inches on the ground makes for a big difference in floatation that cannot be had with the shorter 155's.
The only real noticeable difference or disadvantage to the big track is when your stuck digging them out, they are alot harder in a way to get out, as they will anchor them selves alot harder. The advantage though is they have alot more track to gain traction to get out, so a small learning curve on how to get unstuck without exerting your self is needed. Though FRIEND's are nice to ride with haha

What sled are you coming off of? Track length? Riding style?

I doubt you will even notice a difference in the track, like was stated above, you don't get much more actual track on the ground... I say go for it!

Thanks all! Bought and love it! You're right don't even notice it and it makes a lot of difference. You get way less stuck haha! Now the only problem is that it was advertised as a 800 and is actually 1000 which is just too much. Up for sale it goes!
