'16 Axys Turbo Feedback

Hey guys, I'm just wondering how your '16 Axys turbos have been running? I thought it would be helpful to hear some feedback on the various kits (Boondocker, MTNTK, Silber, Boost-it, etc.). It seems like the main players have all come out with simpler base kits that are less expensive and still providing 80% of the performance without cutting into tunnels and extensive mods (water-air/intercoolers etc). I'd love to hear how your sleds are working.

Looks like she's running great. Who did the install? How easy to tune? How much boost & power does it make now? Was it a complete kit or you have to find extra pieces here & there?

I'd say Parkland did the install. Heard nothing but good things. It would be tough to not consider these kits as a top kit available to riders today.

Talk to Chris at parkland Motorsports in stony plain, he's the dealer for MTNTK. No tuning, just pull the rope and go.

We have quite a few Turbo AXYS on the snow and they run terrific aside from from some of the AXYS gremlins we have had this year.
Our AXYS was difficult to clutch, as it seems to be making big power compared to the Pro RMK.
We are now up to 81 grams of clutch weight at 6-7 lbs boost and have the rpm under control.
It depends on what customers want from a turbo sled. Do they want big bore power like some turbo kits out there, or do they want race car power and what they paid for.
We now also have a new altitude compensator kit for the AXYS at only 5675.00 and 600.00 install. Fully altitude compensating, intake air temp compensating, and no tuning required. Kit does not come with gauges for a stealthy look.

Our AXYS Rush turbo won King of the snow and open Mountain classes at the Alberta Beach drag races this year. I may be wrong, but I believe this is the first time anything but a Yamaha has won these classes in the last 10 years.

I ride a '14 T Pro and a couple buddies have the '16 AXYS (stock). The one guy, has had to have his ECU refreshed multiple times due to intermittent bog, that can only be attributed to the OEM programmer. It fouled multiple sets of plugs and wouldn't run clean. The last flash seems to have worked and its the best his sled has run from new. Perhaps this is the "gremlins" that NM is referring to.

Exhaust valves operating erratically because of corrosion. TPS out of adjustment. Tether issues. Low idle at restart.

Just got it back from the dealer and there was a reflash for low idle. I hope we now have it all sorted out because when this sled is on it's a rocket and a blast in the trees.
We changed the front spindles to 2015 style to improve on edge performance.
Once we geared it up and put a 174 on it then it was rideable with the turbo.

At 7-8lbs, do you need to run race fuel? If no, at what point, on the boost scale, do you need to ramp up the octane? The reason I ask is I'm tired of buying race fuel...

Every pump gas turbo kit I have seen makes pump gas horsepower. It depends what you want.

If if you want to run pump gas then ride a stock sled. If you rode at 8-10000 ft or higher than a pump gas turbo might make sense.
You don't need to run much more octane to make a turbo reliable. Like I keep saying...it's what you want from your sled.

I love the BD sidekick, no turbo lag, very clean install. I see that they have 2 options next year for this kit 6lbs and 10lbs. They are both pump gas. Way too much fun. :)
