Thinkin about a new sled and can't decide between a 155 or 163 track length. I've only ever rode a 162 so unsure between the two. Input please. thanks.

In my opinion, it really depends upon the sled.

when I was on M series Cats.. 08, 09, 10..I loved the 162, as it provided a little more flotation, and grace time, so I didn't have to WOT all the time, especially in the trees. The extra track gave me a little more grace, time to make decisions, and more track for when I was climbing UP.

On the Pro RMK, we've done just fine with a 155, even in the trees, even in super deep, even when climbing. I think because it's so light, and floats so well, I never felt pressured to act quicker than my decision making processes. Tree riding is fun, and when climbing neck and neck with a 163 (my bosses) I just had to wiggle my butt a little more and I climbed everywhere he did. I like the lightness of the 155, as I'm able to poke the snow out of my track and roll it over on my own if I do get stuck.

K Edmonton Sled show this year.. I'm on.... I put these Gangly legs to use... a good 2 months of training left to get back in shape... I used to be quite good at it when I was young.

230lbs no trouble on 155 pro. I'm not quite as extreme as some but have had no trouble in b.c. or wyoming.

If I were you I'd buy a 150 length then lenghten it after you decide you wish it was longer like lots of other people do. That way it costs 2k instead of 500 bucks. Haha

Always liked the 150's im only like 140 but i found that the 150's always are an all around track length. For those that occasionally bomb around the lake and trails beside the mountains. Cant say the 160's are bad but JMO

Agreed. I'm 190 and I ride a 154. Put quite a few moutain miles on a year but also bomb around the prairies and foothills. Works great for me as well. Each to there own.
