well I have heard all of guys saying a 1500 cant have two sleds on the back. I did the math and also went to ICBC to clairfy whats right and wrong.
truck weight with me in it and full tank. 2,415 kg
GVW of my 1500 chevy 4x4 ext cab 3,700 kg
Im alowed to haul 1285 kg or 2827 pounds
two sleds are under 1400 with fuel, girlfriend and the 2 kids with gear are well under 400 pounds, 100 pounds in spare gas. well under 2000 pounds. oh and 200 pounds of trailer hitch weight so well under 2200 pounds. I can still haul another 600 pounds and be legal. I was going to take my box off and build a flat deck which will weigh less that the original box so I didnt add weight for a sled deck!
why cant I haul 2 sleds legally? Im just going with what the papers say. plus I do have tires that are extra load and if they are not enough, I have a set that are load E 3415 pounds each at 80 psi. I have air bags also. can some one tell me why I cant haul two sleds now?
