Got 1000 k on the machine, going to pull the clutch out and give her some love

what parts do you recommend changing ?

buttons / orings ?
governor cup ?
main bushing ?

How man Ks do you go till you change your springs and rollers ?

i would wait until 2000k to change anything other than the buttons. then do both springs and buttons again since they are cheap. the rollers and bushings should be fine until 3500+ no problem.

to be honest if it all looks ok after inspection/cleaning i typically dont replace anything until 2000km but sometimes you will get a premature failure never know!

I agree with Maxwell. I will blow mine out today and if, like the previous years, it will be good until the end of the season (maybe even 2500 km). Greased the ski spindles today and the zerks. Clutch blow out and a little yellow panel cleaning are on the agenda for this afternoon.

Man, it has been a great machine!

I agree !!! I love it!

I blow my clutches every 2-3 rides .. but around 1000 I like to take it apart, give it a proper cleaning and change some cheap parts .. but perhaps too early for changing parts yet, still runs like a champ!

When things do start to wear, just do the entire maintenance kit. Way cheaper than doing individual parts and you have basically a new clutch, no worries about what's next to wear out for another season or more.

yeah .. $140 and you get almost everything (except for 2 springs) .. pretty good deal

doing that on buddy's sled today with 4700 km

Not bad at all, I wouldn't worry about doing it tell you are over 3000kms though.

As expected ... opened mine up and needed no parts .. just a couple of mildly sticky arms and a good cleaning.. shined her up like new and back in she goes for more abuse

did a full rebuild on buddy's with the rebuild kit + a new spring .. he should be stoked next time out

Another question, was going to dig into his secondary (4700 km) to put in new rollers and spring... I have the tools to take out off the helix, but never changed rollers in a secondary .. is it tricky ? anything special ? need 4 pair of hands ? special tools ??
