I've got 4,000 miles on my 09 m1000. Just had the top end rebuilt as a precautionary thing.

Wondering what other maintenance I need to do to be ready for the season? I heard clutch springs should be replaced every year - true? Anything else I should get after?

Thanks for any help.

the motor mount plate on the PTO side. if the rubber in the mounts is soft or spongie feeling, time to change. if you haven't had the Diamond Drive apart yet, now is the time. lots of info on here for servicing that.

Can you just change the rubber mounts in the motor plate or do you need to buy the whole new plate?

You can change just the rubber mounts. Your dealer will most likely try to get you to buy the whole plate.

I'll check on those - but also, was hoping for some idea about clutch springs - haven't changed in 2 years, wondering how often you should change them.
