08' xp 800 146" i'm getting a knocking sound out of primary clutch when sled is idling down, after I put in a team secondary and their ramps, springs, pin weights, and helix, belt is in great condition and clutch has been cleaned completely. 100% sure that it is the primary clutch and the team set up. Sled performs great with this clutch set-up, just a bit noisey, and alot easier on belts. Any advice on how i can fix this noise problem ie; pin weight change, spring change?

Check the play in the spring tower cap. If you have over 500 miles on the 08, it's probably out of spec....will cause erratic shifting and noise. 09 tower cap is updated spec and material. Also, theres no springs in the buttons on the TRA7's as well....so when they wear down, things get rattley at idle.

Depending on how many k's you have on the sled, the rollers can wear the washers/spacers down a little and create some play, then the rollers can rattle a little at idle when the arms are not engaged. Also remember your brake disc is floating, my 07 brake rattles like a mother at idle.... quick test for this is to just hold the brake, does it go away?

Dynamo joe had a thread on his website about engine noise diagnosing but i took a quick look and couldn't find it, you might want to take a peak if you can find it, had some good info (the roller thing im talking about).
