I found a 08 AC 650 H1 with "low" miles that the guy went down a bank in his yard and broke his back 3 years ago.....and does not want to get back on it! he put all new plastic on it so it looks totally new.....it comes with a brand new blade......the best part of this quad is it only has 9 miles on it.....I think I need to jump on this deal! are the 650 a good quad? the 09 had the powersteering but for the price......I'm getting a new quad with no tax! and a blade.......tax right off too! I need it for work!

what would you pay for this?

Blue book says 4050 under mint condition. But this is assuming machine would have been ridden.

Power steering wasnt avaible on cats until 2010, and it was limited to only a few models. If the dude went down a bank and broke his back you should probably make sure he didnt brake the quad as well???? If he replaced the body work, plastic, he may be hiding something??? Cat's 650 is a rock solid engine.... just make sure the rest of the quad is OK and you are not getting jerked around.

quad was repaired at local Artic cat shop. damage was so minor but guy want it all fixed perfect.....there is not a scratch any where and wheel alignment was all checked......it didnt even roll over......I'm picking it up for $5000.....it was funny when I started it up and I saw 9 miles......I thought that was the trip meter and kept hitting the button to find total miles......when he said it had 9 miles I thought he ment 900......lol going to go load it up on friday!

It`s a good deal, not a steal though. Cat quads do not hold there value as much as some others......................They are a hard sell.

I just talked to the old guy and he is telling me if anything down the road is an issue with the quad that he will fix it......this is the first time I had to say....I'm buying a used quad and I dont think that is necessary! nicest guy ever.....I have never had someone sell me something and basically say he will warranty a used quad......it has 9 miles so I cant see an issue!

I went to go get it and the guy told me that I should get a battery since he thinks the one in it is no good from sitting.....then he wouldnt sell it to me till I told him what I had to pay for the battery.....I told him not to worry about it.....we agreed on $5000.... my word was I will take as is for $5000.......he wouldnt sell it to me till I showed him the bill for that battery and he would only take 4900 for the quad now......but he almost died when I said my boy will be driving it the most......all he kept saying was he can not be responsable if some one gets hurt on it like he was......I told him dont worry! he was a funny old guy but the nicest guy I have bought anything from........since he broke his back on it I guess it just freaked him out!

I stopped at the gas station on the way home from picking it up......a guy asked me where I got the new quad from......I told him it is not new, but it is new to me......it's an 08......told him the story and he was looking at it very closely........then he offers me $6000 for it on the spot.......oh my god I have to get some rub marks on it soon! the blade works great......did my logging road driveway........

I'm glad I have night cameras now that e-mail/phones me when something moves in the yard now.......if my phone rings at 3am.....some one is after my kitty!

I think its a smokin deal.... I disagree with Cat's being a hard sell and that they dont hold there value. I have found the opposite to be true. Last Cat atv I sold was to the first guy that showed up and I got my asking price. And my asking price was market value or more. Ofcourse it was like new.

Overkill..... Enjoy you quad.... its a great bike and you should be able to ride it for years and get your money back when its time to sell.... as long as you take care of it and dont beat the cheet out of it like so many guys do! Great buy!

Hey overkill, I am not a cat guy, but when it comes to working in the bush the cat is the only one that has lasted me. I have the exact one but 07 and also a 07 700 efi and still have them. Ride like a dodge but works like a tank. LOL Enjoy it.

well thanks for all the input......I worked it for a few hours pushing snow because my John Deere tractor couldnt get up 4 of my clients driveways because of the ice we got a few weeks ago......but the quad worked great and now have 22.9 miles and love it so far......had to adjust the shifter...... but that is all! alot harder on gas than my JD lol!

The 08"s had a problem with the front diff. The weld on the pin that holds the spider gears was chicken ch!t. A lot of them let go and the pin slid out and destroyed the diff. AC IS replacing the diffs but only when they let go and will not pay for labor. Your best option is to remove the diff and have the pin rewelded before it let's go. On the arcticchat site there is probably a hundred documented cases
