Yes. And we just got a hint about the riding; in a field? Nothing about the snow conditions whether it is packed, icy or what.

He does have his survival gear tho'.....extra gas, tunnel bag full (I assume).....

We need more info to solve this little problem for ya'.....just saying :xmas2004_15: :xmas2004_15:

well like i said, i'm in 1-2 feet of powder riding in feilds and ditches. I did not do anything to the engine, the pervious owner put new piston rings in and put in the temp gages in, but he has been riding it for a couple years like that, so i cant really see it being an airlock

...but on the other hand he is always in the mountains

air lock would be a good bet, had that happen with a polaris before, somehow an air bubble got into the cooling system, the motor was original, never rebuilt. the solution was to raise the front end of the sled and run it to temp. the bubble would move to the higher end and out the reservoir. Problem solved. There is a procedure for bleeding the system with specific rpm,s etc. A dealer could probably tell you or someone here may know the specifics

ok so, i was going to bleed the line and i was on my way to the shop, and notised it the temp wasnt coming up, so i thought someone topped up the coolant (with what I dont know) so i was about 3 minutes from home out in the feild and all the sudden i heard a bad ticking noise, then befor i could guess what it was the sled just powered out and was doing all it could to stay running, so i shut it off and smelled coolant, so i opened the hood and a big white cloud of coolant came up. so i'm wondering if someone put water in the system or something? or what would cause it to blow something and burn coolant?

the water temp was about 90-105
