I find my sled over heats quite fast at times, just wondering if that is because their is not enough snow getting tossed into the tunnel? or is it because i dont have very much venting on the side pannels?

looks like need some scrachers , for hard pac snow... and vent kit ..... your tunnel bag will make it warmer as well ... where have you been riding when it over heats....

X2....and it also looks like the tail flap is cut off about 3-4". All of the above contribute a little bit and if you are heating more in the morning on the trail than coming home, scratches will remedy it.

Like "sledlift" says, the tunnel bag (also the gas can) is preventing cooling on the outside, therefore, you need more snow underneath to hit the cooler. The longer tail flap helps that but I know it is a pita when unloading so we cut them off.

Spend $50 bucks for scratchers and try it out. I don't think the panel venting is going to help the temp gauge go down. It will help to keep the clutches cooler. Good luck, fs

How much snow are you riding in?

If you are using it as a ditch/field cruiser then it is likely going to overheat.

ok, i just took it for a spin, and it over heated within 5 minutes (it also has LED tep gage) and at idleing it was climbing 1 degree per second, i throw snow under the tunnel but that seems to make it grow faster. so i shut it off for 20 minutes start up again, go 30ft then its over heating again, so shut it off for another 10 minutes get back on and go, then the tep was going down and staying at about 100-115 degrees.

i probably sound crazy but it blows my mind what is up with it

as for snow depth, i'm in 1-2 feet of powder

Air lock... Lift up the front end three feet ish and run engine with coolant bottle cap off, will burp the air out

but how come it does that every time i go out? i cant figure out, if its an air lock wouldnt it consistantly over heat till that air is out? cause after about a 1/2 hour it cools off to running temp and is good for a long time.

and if it is an air lock and once that air gets let out their is no way it can get back in and make it over heat aging right?
