I have talked to the dealer twice about it and they keep saying it is from the factory over oiling during assembly. Don’t know how to get the dealer to believe.
Took the sled out the other day finally, only got to ride about 30 miles but the oil is still leaking. It is coming from the gasket on the Y pipe. Makes a mess all over the engine compartment. BRP should have a better way to make make this seal.
Noticed that I have some oil dripping from under my new 850. Haven’t ridden it yet but don’t expect oil to be dripping. Dealer says it is on all of them from the factory because the over filled. Doesn’t sound quite right. Anyone else having these issues?
Shawert,
Thanks for the insight. I have not thought about putting a narrow front end on it. I know how to ride, and am waiting to get bashed on for "You don't know how to do this or do that" crap. I have rode for over 30 years and would consider myself above average just wanting to know what...
Hello Everyone,
Just had a chance to compare the Axys, Doo 850 and Doo 800. The Axys was a 163" x 2.6" track, 850 was a 165" x 3" and Doo 800 was a 163" x 3". There was about 18" of fresh powder with good base. Some areas were harder where the wind had blown most of the fresh off. Let me...
I am sure that Z-Broz does like the Axys. They also sure like selling products for several hundreds of dollars when the guy buying doesn't realize they are two different chassis with different A-arms. Not arguing that the 15' PRO RIDE A-arms sucked, but the Axys arms are designed for a...
He still doesn't get that a Pro and an Axys have DIFFERENT A-arms. I think Big Gay is the one who is making my brain hurt! And I also ride a Cat, but friends who actually have Axys' have not had issues with the A-arms like Big Gay thinks.
BIG GAY! You sure do like that term BlahahHahhahahahaha. Well, when you post in the Axys section, one would think that you have the cast arms, not the glued ones from the Pro. I would be shocked to see these arms recalled. You smoking some happy weed up there? If they were going to recall...
Why would you want to strengthen the A-arm? They make that the breaking point so you don't bend much more expensive items that the hit would get transferred to. Read the Ski Doo G4 section and see what problems they are having with too strong of A-arms. The S and E Modules are breaking like...
Sounds like the same old replies as normal. "I ride so much better and harder than you can", " I shred deep pow like nobody's business", "If you can't afford it don't ride" all the normal BS to defend a persons brand because they can't admit there are issues!
Yah, I can afford the fuel and oil...
PowPirate, you do have a right to be pissed! I will admit that I have been a Polaris guy for years, but am riding a Cat right now. This last spring I had the opportunity to ride the 850 Summit X prototype in super deep snow conditions, and to be truthful it scared me away from buying one this...
All of you Poo Boys are being very kind to all these Ski Doo boys having so many issues with their new 850's. I remember the Doo Guys crucifying you guys for all the Polaris issues. Now the Ski Doo guys are having to eat crow and nobody is even giving them a hard time about it! They bad...
Found a little more possible information on the cranks. Guys told dealer that they noticed air bubbles in the line coming out of the reservoir. I wonder if with the new caps being I believe "pressurized" or something to that effect if it is not allowing oil to flow correctly and not getting...
Local dealer here had two or three cranks go out last weekend. Also, had to send a guy up to help three guys get their new 850's out; being told these were electrical issues. This is coming from a guy who's wife works for our local dealer. Haven't heard particulars on what they found with...
Don't worry!! Norona has it fully under control! Check out the post he just posted. "If You Are Having Belt Troubles Read This". Or something to that effect. What a crock of S**T! These sleds have to basically be gutted of ALL sound deadening materials, etc, etc. All the guys like Norona...
