You may want to try a new primary spring, like the slp blue pink or even a new stock spring may help. You should be able to pull 8250-8300 with 10-64s at the elevation you are running no prob, I have that same pro with fix kit and pull 8250 all day. If your running anything other than the...
The main difference with the gr9 plug is that is has a copper core to help stop fouling but like I said same heat range, same length,14 mm threads you can run it no prob just won't last as long as an iridium plug. Gap it and go ride.
If you have any doubts just make the effort to get the iridium plugs as mentioned earlier, they work great and last forever. Been running them in my 13 pro for the last 1200 miles and ran them in my 11 pro for over 3000 miles, never a single problem.
I highly recommend running the fix kit, you will gain 100 rpm at least, engine runs much smoother as well. With the head and fix kit you can expect to gain 7-8 hp. Check your cylinders for cracks carefully before reassembly. If your curious check ebay, lots of choices of fix kits with wrist pin...
That's great bud. Glad your had better luck than a lot of others. Some motors last longer than others. Anyways, this is a well known problem with a relatively simple fix, not a deal breaker as the pro is an amazing chassis, just something to be aware of if your considering a second hand sled...
Regardless of year, your first concern should be kms on machine and if the motor has a fix kit and a turned up oiler. Common problem with the 800 is a loose piston that will grenade the motor eventually. The 13-15 year motors seem to be lasting longer than the 11-12's but a fix kit should be...
I don't think there is enough to ride in most areas yet, it looks like the next week or so should bring some snow but you may want to consider revy as they have got a lot of fresh over the last few days.
How much boost are you running? Wondering if it was excessive runout that broke the crank or something else. Hate to rebuild it and have it happen again.
I rode Sunday and in the afternoon the temp was dropping quick causing the snow to setup nicely, this should make for a good base. Looks like the forecast doesn't call for any new snow till the 22nd or so.
3 turns is good if your not running a vented cap, if you are than you may have to go 2 turns or less, anyway calculate your fuel/oil ratio over a tank or two and stay somewhere around 30-1, 40-1. One ounce oil per gallon fuel in the tank is also a good idea. More advantages than disadvantages to...
Not true, the 11 is just as good and no issues with the composite over structure failing and bonded junk a arms pulling apart or drive shafts breaking also gearing down a 13/14 with the belt drive is way more money than an 11. There is good reason mountain horse on snowwest is recommending going...
