It rained all night in Hinton and had been a downpour all morning and supposed to all day to day. What do you think the odds are that the ATV ban gets lifted? At least in the parts of the province that are getting soaked right now.
From what I can tell, if you go to the end of that road there is an old lease site to stage at and then there’s a trail that heads south from there and does a big loop around the south side of the mountain where it’s not so steep. And then once up on the ridge you follow the ridge up to the...
Reviving again. Also hoping to get up there on a dirtbike. I’ve flown over the trail from the peak until it drops into the trees but I couldn’t tell how treacherous it might be.
I’m looking for cheapest insurance in Alberta. I have 2 bikes and a quad. Klx300r, klx110 and Suzuki z90 all strictly off road.
Let me know the cheapest rate you got and who it’s through.
Thank you!
here are all the ASRD public land use zones. Most of them allow random camping but some of them dont allow OHVs. Just click on each one and see what they offer. They have good maps of the areas also.
You could alway pull the old trick, pick a place to go and then start a rumour that ASRD has shut down that particular place for the long weekend and then hope that no one else shows up haha :theCabin::bike:
Thanks Taminator! I dont mind a bit of muck, its the snow i dont do so well in. I just didnt want to show up with a bike and have everyone with sleds in their trucks giving me funny looks. As for where I ride, I have never been there before. It was recommended by some friends that have been...
I am just curious what the conditions are like around Invermere at the moment. would it be safe to bring a dirtbike, or is it still a bit wintery there?
Scorpion Racing http://www.scorpionracing.ca/ also has nice rad guards/braces. I have a set on my bike and they are very sturdy. They look pretty much the same as the Devol ones but they are Canadian made.:canada:
Yeah it's all part of the Ghost Forest Land Use Zone (FLUZ).
The guys with the the chainsaws were likely RMDRA members. They like to go out and clean up trails and map them out and put up signs and trail markers so everyone can enjoy them. Also they work closely with ASRD to keep these trails...
:bike: Glad to see your finally getting out on your bike! Waiprous is good riding although some parts are pretty rocky and some parts are pretty muskegy. Looks like it'll be awesome weather for riding this weekend.
Re: i cant beleive this!!!
I'm heading over there in day or two when i get out of camp to help. All of our available machines are working the slave lake fire and a bunch of ther fires around alberta. This wind needs to go away if there is any hope of gaining control of them.
