Looks like it was a fun time, did you manage to avoid all the hidden rocks. Early snow can hide lots of carnage causing boulders but I don't think I can wait any longer.
Do they not charge PDI and freight in Alberta, I got hit with both in BC, 250 PDI, 350 freight. What percentage are you guys paying for tax. I called three other dealers in BC and I was given the same total as my local dealer. Full msrp, PDI, freight, gst and pst. Would it be worth buying in...
My 163 x no e start without a single accessory was 16200 otd. Since I snowchecked dealer gave 500 to spend in the store and I got the 4 yr warranty. I have been waaay to excited to look at my driveshaft for rust and I probably never will. Maybe my buddies can check it for me while I catwalk...
This really is the best way to take the clutch off. I didn't believe it till I tried it although the first time it took me a few tries to get the tape on the threads of the bolt right so it wouldn't leak much or come off.
I gotta get 5 or 6 years out of my sleds so the 4 year warranty looks pretty good to me. May be if I am lucky I will toast the engine on the 4 th year and be able To ride the last couple on a new engine. Lol.
I agree, and it would have to be in perfect condition with under 1000 km for me, otherwise new is the better option in my opinion. Anyone who gets more is a great salesman, maybe they could sell my 08 154 for 7000$ and take a 1000$ commission.
Was looking at low mileage xm 163, but people want too much. I would have considered a 12 but they are asking almost as much for those. some of them even have 2000 km or more. When they are asking over 13g I am better off snow checking and getting 4 yrs warranty
Thanks for all the feedback, it looks like it should not be a big hassle to bring a sled in to bc, and a lien search as well as checking out if it is stolen is a must. Just gotta get some things in order and hopefully the search for a new ride will begin soon.
Is there a legal document like we would have in bc, something like the NVIS, or vehicle transfer papers that has the serial number, sellers info and purchasers info, or is the " bill of sale " more than just a hand written agreement. Can I call from home to do a lien search before I go or does...
I am looking at buying a used sled from Alberta and bringing it back to bc. I have no experience with out of province sleds so I am looking for a little advice. I intend on registering the sled in bc but I have no idea what documentation I need with the sled to do so. I also need to know where...
you guys may want to check on the closures in that area before you go, it may not be as straight forward as you hope. There are guys from B.C. that ride the Kakwa but that route puts you at the highway 16 about 80 km from mcbride. Look at www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/wildlife/snowmobile-closures/
Check the connector on the back of the coil too. My connector looked good but the wire was actually broken where it is crimped under the plastic. Mine would run then not run similar to yours. It is easiest to check by pulling the rear of the air box out giving you lots of room to the rear of the...
The above post forgot to mention to take off that crazy adjuster the 09's have on the secondary before you pull the whole unit. I used a giant adjustable wrench, but mine had so much loctite I had to put an allen key through a hole in the brake disc and jam it against the caliper. The e brake...
My bone stock o7 Tundra 5.7 will get 12-13 l\100km highway empty at 100-105
15 l\100km city
18-19l\100km towing two sleds and one in the back at 100 never faster...
I do not know for sure but if you count the teeth on the drivers and they it is the same as a summit, then I would think that any lug height up to 2.5 would fit. the chain case position in the tunnel has not changed in the xp chassis.
I had the same trouble with my 08 when I first got it. First go through the primary and make sure that everything is in tip top shape. Rollers, bushings tight, sliders, o-rings, arms move freely and everything is clean. Make sure that neither of the secondary rollers is cracked or broken. Check...
Go to a website called "rktek". He has a good writeup on the benefits of dual ring pistons. A new option is the new thicker BRP single ring pistons that replace the older 800r pistons. I think when I do mine next summer i will use the RKtek pistons, much less $ then BRP wants.
Any TRA 7 from any 07 and up Doo will fit your 06, you have to use both fixed and moveable sheaves from the new clutch as they will not interchange with you old one. That being said you can and should if possible use the spring and ramps from your old clutch, you may have to adjust pinweight to...
Yeah that description is exactly what my brothers is doing, I do not think that it is an over rev scenario but it seems to fart a little under heavy throttle and is very noticeable under load up hill. It farts, clears up and pulls hard right after. If you ease on the throttle it pulls clean...
