The only thing about buying from a legit electrical outfit vs amazon is there is such a huge difference in price. You can buy a 20k lumen fixture for around $20 each. Even with a high failure rate a person is still farther ahead. It's almost as cheap as buying t8 bulbs for my current fixtures...
The 12 lights I have now are 6000 lumens each and the lighting sucks bad.....so guessing I could go 2-3x more lumens. I did a quick search and found a recommendation for 300 lumens per square foot. That's 600,000 lumens, or 50,000 per fixture! Seems kind of crazy. I'm going to aim for around 20k...
I found someone amazon that seem perfect. Really reasonably priced too. Might be a little oversized at 180w each x 12 of them? That's a fair bit of power draw for lighting hey?
Have a 40x60 shop with 16' ceilings. Right now have twelve, two bulb, 4' florescent fixtures. Not impressed with the light at all, and the bulbs are starting to burn out again. Looking at led options for better light. Has anyone had experience with the new LED's? Debating between 8' tubes and...
Got out for a quick rip on the new Kenevo. Have about four rides on it , one full battery cycle.
Love it, but not as big of an upgrade from the levo as I thought it would have been. 180mm suspension is nice and plush though
From the little bit I have worked on friends' Subarus in my shop, I don't think I would touch one. One buddy keeps a spare bag of lug nuts in his glove compartment because you usually strip a couple when you take your tires off he says. I stripped two when taking the tires off. Properly torqued...
That's funny.....I usually give people the same warning, but word it differently. I say don't demo one unless you're ready to spend the money, because they are that good
Is there a safe place to move though? Have thought about this a bit. Many things I love about BC, but the direction it (as well as Canada, and our local municipalities) is scary. Not sure where things are going to be better
Actual woodpeckers, or flickers? I hate flickers with a passion. And the stupid effing things are protected. Ive heard rumors that it hasn't stopped some people from killing tons of them. ;)
Have heard they are bloody hard to kill with a gun. Text me if you want some unconventional ideas
I love our hot tub. We still use it every day. Had one at my old place in Beaumont. Bought a new beachcomber for my place here. Have been happy with it other than the mice getting into it. For 10k they should make the damned thing completely mouseproof.
For the guys having problems keeping them...
