I would imagine that he threw a rivet in the cross members. Even without screws the bars would spin. Would suck to pin the throttle and have your feet try to slide to the back on a set of rollers.
Thanks for the info. What is it about the XM that makes you feel like it is pulling you downhill during a sidehill. Like the sled itself wants to pull downhill, or pull your body position over?

Isn't it about time to drop the glue argument? Your vehicle has been glued together for years, and Polaris seems to have fixed what few issues they had with the glue on some of the sleds.

It seems they have both Paper and a copy of the manuals on disc. I personally would try to find an owners manual for free. I think the Arctic Cat website should have them. Paying for a service manual is worth it.
