Cons are definitely the cost now a days. When I got my TKI for my 13, I had piled up my auto tensioner, that I got about 500 miles out of, and was going to replace with a manual tensioner and hd gears, at that point it wasn't that much of a difference to go belt drive.
Pros, I swapped that...
You may want to post your weight as well. Ive been running close to what the book says, but im probably about 275 geared up. I heard lots of complaints about them being to stiff and needing a revalve but they work well for me. Front 65/120, FTS 55/110, RTS 150/250 I have played around quite a...
Do the t-top or the solid post and both bushings, it will be night and day different. I used the zbroz adapter on my 13 and the bushings and it was tight. On my 16 with the solid post I was able to get one season on the original bushings, then changed them out for the Canada sled parts one.
I definitely don't have any long term use yet... only 4 rides, but my privus monosuit still looks and functions like new.. which is more than I can say about any FXR product I have owned.
Just got a privus.. ill let you know if it lasts more than 3 rides... that's all I got out of my last 2 sets of fxr pants before they started falling apart
I run mine as loose as I can too. I would say I have about 2" of sag when lifted with no weight on. I start out pretty loose, and snug it up a bit here and there if I feel it ratchet.
My advice, get something comfortable, try a few on with as much gear as you would wear if possible, don't just go for the cheapest option. I picked up a backpack style one at first, but I did not like constantly snugging up the straps, and feeling the bag move around on my back. I went with a...
Best I can do for a pic. Its hard to tell because its zoomed in. The block is actually trimmed to 3'' or 2.5 " depending on the track. With them in there I can suck the sled down good and tight without making the ass end of the sled sag.
I run a 7' marathon, with a 153. It just comes in just under the legal overhang on my 3rd gen dodge. You would be fine on your dmax. Definitely can't use a rear superclamp, on a cat anyway without an extension.. I usually put a 2x4 block on edge under my track between the lugs before I strap...
Any one know of any places selling Speedwerx parts in Canada? With the exchange and shipping, it pretty well doubles the price for a couple clutch springs haha.
Going on year 6 with running a marathon classic. Only think I don't like is the rear slides always freeze in after a wash if parked outside. Im sure others are like that, and it doesn't bother me cause I never put them in till im back from a trip anyway.
Ive been running the low pro large bag on my last 2 sleds. The original zippers sucked the big one, and they sent me a new liner no charge so that was nice, the new ones are much better. I have lost 2 shovel handles and one blade due to the elastic getting iced up then heading home down the...
My old 08 dodge has been deleted since 2010, 5 inch with a flo pro twister resonator. Havent been bothered anywhere before (although im not blowing smoke everywhere like an idiot) and it spends a good amount of time in BC. Actually got a comment from a cop one time walking into Tim's.. said it...
