Thanks for great post, I sold my HD dodge not long ago and now use a 2015 super crew 5.0 F150 with a 8 foot marathon for my sled and quad. For comparison if anyone is wondering how it stacks up against other trucks
Truck+full tank of fuel+deck and ramp+ me and maybe 200lbs of stuff weighed in...
OK boys I put my 2015 5.0L F150 super crew on the scales, it has the 36 gal fuel tank, fairly heavy sled deck. box full of junk maybe around 200lbs and 2 people. GVWR = 7070lbs, the truck on the scale full of crap ready to go but no sled, came in at 6100lbs, leaving 1000 lbs for sleds. So either...
I broke mine in on sat, had about 15km easy with start and stops to cool it off but then there was this big hill to get here ;)
so it was to the bar ......I :yahoo:Like the way this sled runs
Yes but I have seen you drive Doug you still are not safe even with that new fancy one tonne :d (just kidding) thats for posting that picture of me stuck. I went from a 2500 dodge, two sleds and gear, 5.7 hemi just made it under. I now for several reasons have a 1/2 ton ford air bagged equiped...
My god what a ridiculous thread, there are many people with 1/2 tons and sled decks that they use to carry only one sled,or quad not a problem or a hazard on the road and well within in it's limits, and assisted with real truck tires and air bags it is a decent safe ride.
Been on Doo's for a millennium but I decided I wanted a change so I bought a new 2014 M8000 Snowpro
THe newbie question I have is were do you cat boys carry your spare drive belt there must be a spot somewhere under the hood? Ok go ahead and laugh
if anyone cares 084 drive belts on...

Yes Cowboy basin, but the name Mears lake is steeped in tradition and for good reason so Mears Lake is what it is. Historically we have called the basins and the flats Mears Lake. I will try and straighten FS out but he is old and stubborn unlike his younger more agreeable riding partner :p
Next snowfall is going to reek havoc above tree line, high sustained winds have made a dandy wind crust, my partner released a nice slab yesterday even though he was in an area of high potential but low risk it still woke him up a bit. Anywhere above treeline has very little coverage and is...
