I ended up putting the "Fatty" springs on my 07. From what I remember the factory springs are meant for riders 180#ish. Big difference with the new springs.
I read an article in the Sherwood Park paper a while back about this and it is false. The constables name mentioned never even knew anything about it. There may be some validity with how it could be done but the other details in the e-mail are not true.
I am heading to Sugar Bowl this Satruday and I am hoping you might be able to give me some info on where to stage etc. From what I have found so far you stage somewhere by the Whitegoat Creek and head up from there but I don'y really know that area at all.
Do you know much about the Sugar Bowl area. We want to head there on Dec 27th but are unsure where to stage at, snow conditions etc. Any help would be appreciated.
I got mine from Royal Distributing. They are called shop slides in thier catalogue I believe. They were $75 a couple of months ago. They have worked awesome.
We are riding there Saturday. Keep your eyes open for the 3 guys looking lost as that will be us:) We have never rode there but thought we would give it a try. Me= 07 Dragon, and 2 buddies= 08 M8 Snow Pro and an 07 switchback 144 2".
Hope we can catch up on Saturday.
How was the waterfall that people speak of? I have never rode there but have plans on riding there this Saturday. Can someone discribe the waterfall? I have visions of a really steep ice wall:)
I am wondering what everyone carries for basic tools for emergency repairs on the hill. I know in our group it's usually only one guy who takes extra tools and we all have borrowed from him at one time or another. What does everyone else carry with them in thier tool rolls?
6 of us rode Allen Creek this weekend. The trail up was sketchy at best. 4" of snow from the parking lot and not that great until about km6. At the cabin there is about 4' and a good 2' of fresh everywhere you went. Still some creeks open that you need to be aware of but the best riding we have...
No dollies for us this weekend:) We are heading up tonight for a midnight ride then tackling the gravel to find the snow at Allen for the weekend. A worn out set up skiis and carbides is still better than a weekend at home staring at the sleds. No camera for me this weekend but I will let...
Curtis how are we looking for this weekend? 5 of us are heading there tonight and planning on riding gravel & some snow this weekend @ Allen Creek:) Did yesterdays snow help the trail much?
