Anyone change a regular tail light to an SLP led tail light? Normally you need a resistor to step down the voltage, has anyoine done this or had any issues? I have a running light but no brake.

I put 2 SLP's 6 inch LED lights on my Cat, direct replacement, with no other changes. Worked fine. Been running them for 3 seasons. Just took them off as I'm going to a new system. They may be for sale. If your interested, PM me.

I put several o f them on last winter alone with no issue.. And i didn't install any resistors as well i had all the same features as the stock taillight.. If it's bright like the taillight then there is probably two wires hooked up backwards..

no resistor required..... Is that a three wire tail lite?? Or just two.......??????????? You must have wires mixed up, because they are quite simple install.....

I'm pretty sure its the three wire same as stock, but I might actually have a problem with my brake light switch at the master cyl. Think it worked twice last year but cant remember till I can fire the sled.

I took the HUGE rear light assembly off my 06 Summit to make room for a snowboard rack and I too need to put some kind of LED on the back now. Anyone have a suggestion where to find them? ZRrrr I think I want just one light thats a bit larger than the 6 inchers you have (insert joke about your 6 incher here ;) )

i'm not sure i would use an end of line resisitor. a power resister should be used. a end of line resistor has a .5w rating. something like a 10w would be better. And on the newer cats no resistor is needed

Installed one on my 07 RMK, did not have to use a resistor, it is a carb sled. Ordered the fourbarr setup, same one used in project puff from Blowest Magazine.

Radio Shack has them or whatever they call it now. Im in the process of installing them on my 06 Summit. I am taking a peice of flat alluminum and drilling evenly spaced holes in them. sauder the led's together and seal them with heat shrink. Press them into the flat bar and rivet them to the tunnel. Not too sure if it will work but i got a bunch of different colors. I'll post when i'm done.

I broke the factory lite on my 07 xrs, went to see Rory at Pure ADD. and got a led. Just used factory wires and riveted it to frame.
