Lithium batteries are what you need, normal AA don't work worth a chit. I ran lithiums for 2-3 days no problem, cheaped out and tried regular AA, think they worked for about 20 min. You may still have problems with lithiums below -20 though
Something like this happened to my bosses neighbor in St Albert as well this weekend. He doesn't use the quad in the winter and registration had expired, however with the snow he pulled it out and started helping elderly neighbors, plowing out driveways and sidewalks...needless to say friendly...
I got the recall notice in the mail, but it doesn't apply to my pack, would have been nice to get my $200 back and put it towards an airbag. I think for the most part the avalung is useless for sledding, given that it would be next to impossible to get it in your mouth if your caught in a slide...
The Taliban definitely don't want us there, but the average Afghani for the most part are glad, especially the women and children. As for treatment of women it depends on the area you are in. Kandahar is a little more extreme compared to most of the country. However things are even changing...
However like Tyler says it is up to discretion of the Officer, here is the official regulations
Licence plates
18(1) The Registrar must issue an off-highway licence plate for an
off-highway vehicle if the Registrar issues a certificate of
registration for the off-highway vehicle.
(2) The...
I was stopped by the County Mountie just off 28. Had it under the seat, all he cared about was if it was registered and insured, not where the plate was.
Ok thought I would chime in since I have firsthand knowledge, having been there for 9 months and going again this year for another 8-12. This is NOT a war about Oil/Gas contrary to conspiracy theorists out there. The Unocal pipeline is something that will never happen, and for the amount the...
Here's the Story:
A snowmobiler from Creston, B.C., has been released from hospital with broken arm after plunging more than 25 metres down an abandoned mineshaft on Tuesday.
Ken Gadicke, 58, was sledding in the Kootenay Pass area with his son Steve and another man when his sled went over an...
Just posted on CBC, some guy fell 100ft into an unmarked mine shaft. Sled went in after him but only fell 20 ft and landed on a ledge. Best part of the story he lived!!
Could be your elements going, happened to me last week, left grip totally shot and right one just gets warm. If you have a shop manual you can put the multimeter to it and check if the ohm's are in the right range.
Here's something I fabbed up in about and hr or so, pretty basic and cost me about $30 total (still gotta build one for other side). Pretty solid, just had to be really careful drilling through tunnel near the coolant lines
Going to Revy this weekend and wondering if anyone heading there from Edm has room for my sled? Trying to avoid taking the gas pig of a truck I have....I'm leaving Friday and plan on riding Sat, Sun and possibly Mon.
:beer::beer:
You can't ride towards St Albert once the Sturgeon crosses hwy 37 west of hwy 28. Anything south of 37 is out of bounds and county mounties will stop you. I staged on the service road just off 28 north if 37. Had a visit from the county mountie and he info'd us to abide by the no parking signs...
Not the greatest pic but you can see the concept. I think he managed to get away with 2 pucks per mount on his 04. On the 10 he just got pretty sure he used 3 per. Heading to Revy this weekend and I'll get some better pics of his current setup.
