Avalanche Gear Recall

I was just reading in the Edmonton Sun and for those of you that don't read the paper or who may not have seen this....there is a recall on the "Avalung" made by Black Diamond Equipment. Apparently they can fail in cold temperatures. Don't know how many people have these in the Snowmobile community but I know there are a few so maybe this will help someone possibly. I got the recall notice in the mail, but it doesn't apply to my pack, would have been nice to get my $200 back and put it towards an airbag. I think for the most part the avalung is useless for sledding, given that it would be next to impossible to get it in your mouth if your caught in a slide with helmet and breath mask on
