    2021 Polaris PRO RMK 155 850 (Base w/ 2.6) vs 2021 Skidoo Summit SP 850 (Base w/ 3.0)

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has ridden these two sleds or similar. I am in the market and have them available within what I consider to be an acceptable drive (4 hours) with a starting MSRP within $300 of each other. I am split 50/50 and can't make up my mind on which one I should be...

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2020/21

For those looking for some riding of a higher quality level right now Golden was pretty good on Nov 15, I can only assume much better by now. Went for a test ride at Waiparous/Hunter Valley last week, don't even think about it.

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2020/21

Hey guys, 4th year running I've made it out December 1st. I've seen worse. Left from Cataract (Etherington staging looked alot better but snow in South is typically better). From the parking lot to the first main intersection at the bottom of raspberry sucked. About 30% bare and the rest had...

    Golden and area conditions 2020-2021

Anyone hitting up Quartz or other areas around Golden Saturday November 14? I'm hearing it's getting close to being ok now so hoping by then it will be pretty decent. Looking for a group to join on with as no one I know is heading out that weekend. If anyone is heading out or in the same boat...

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2019/20 season

Cataract snow levels have been unusually high for early season. I think most posts have been on Alberta Sledders on Facebook or the club TeamSnap app. Been at Cataract four days since the beginning off the season, all were great snow. Haven't been out since this Chinook started though but I've...

No day passes, just annual ASA. Calgary snowmobile club website has a buy online option. Not mandatory but greatly appreciated by the club of course.

I've seen a few snowbikes down there but not many. Depends what you are looking for, since it's a trail system you are supposed to stick to the trails legally. In my experience with rental snowbikes they were alot more fun off trail than on lol (at Revy). Just posted some directions and a map in...

New guy no clue - Cataract

Basically you have two staging areas to leave from - typically snow is a little better down south in years with less snow but it can go either way depending on conditions. You have Etherington and Cataract staging areas. Here are some pin drops on how to get to them: Etherington...

New guy no clue - Cataract

Hey Grouser, as indicated above - not legal to ride before December 1st, so opening is this sunday unless you want to head in for some trail cleanup with the club on saturday. From the pics I've seen in the TeamSnap App discussion (can join if you have a trailpass / ASA membership) it looks...

Well aware of that. I thought typically the club will be out earlier with trail clearing, etc or someone might have taken a cruise down to the parking lot for a peak is all.
