last season we used Polaris Ride Command. Very minimal draw on the phone battery. Great map details. Easy to download the rides onto the computer. Much easier to use and better details than my fancy expensive GPS
Found this out on a news feed that sparked my attention. As per the map above, everything in white is off limits to OHV, which includes snowmobiles. Just spoke with a few local authorities and they don't have any more info than what I do, seems like another new rule by high level government...
This just reminds me of how old I am. Back in 1980, we bought 2 brand new TXC's still in the crate. Had to put them together and PDI ourselves. Little did I know that would turn into a lifetime of fun. Many moons later, I'm still rippin up the snow on my 2015 RMK 800. Pretty much stock except...
During the summer I picked up this 2019 ALCOM. It's very similar to the Triton posted earlier. Has a 12' deck, 3500# axle with a few options like 13" wheels. Dry weight is around 1000#. Alcom does manufacturer several brands. Their website is a little behind on pics, but the Snopro model is...
I've always tarped when using my open trailer. Sure it gets messy but at least the crap don't get under the hood. One pain is trying to get the frozen slop cover back on the sled at the end of the day.
FWIW, I'm still using the Polaris snow-check cover that came with my first Poo in 2013. It's...
Dam these thrds bring back memories...I must be old, since I was mountain riding back in the 80's. Not planning to quit anytime soon. I do get a laugh out of the young bucks that started on 2000+ machine. If you ever get a chance to jump on a leaf spring sled, no suspension, a 36" track with 1/2...
I snow checked a 13 Pro 600 and never had issues with it. One of my buddies rides it now and still going strong.
I think it's in the 3000+ km range. The original QD belt is still in great shape. I did turn up the oiler from day one so it in the 45/1 ish range. When you first start the engine...
Trublue...........those pics sure look familiar. Probably passed you on the trail............good for you (and others) getting the whole family out there.
On another note, here's another public perception on snowmobiling. Back at work today, just BS'ing around the office about what we did this...
All you get is regular looking LED bulbs. They will swap your pot lights, but only install that bulb. It works but doesn't look too good, so 99% of customers say to leave them alone.
I was on the list for 6 months but they finally did swap them out. I had a young female do the work and she was...
This is more for info, but it does back up what Avy Canada is warning us about.
We were riding the Crowsnest area this past week. Saturday we were the first ones out of the Atlas parking lot and stopped in at the Window mountain area. The slopes around the lake didn't look to goods we never went...
If I would have noticed something like that, I would have called the manager out (just like you did). And hope they admit it and fix it, (like they are). Sounds like it worked out ok.
On a similar note, I just had my boat into the dealer for service. (mind you the boat is worth a couple bucks...
I have a Motorfist helmet. Was using 509 goggles that work "OK". Couple seasons ago, was shopping for new goggles and found sound Motorfist. Honestly didn't know they made goggles. Purchased them and they fit/work excellent with my Motorfist helmet. So to answer your question, they work best in...
FWIW.....I'm putting my vote in for the aluminum.
I used to have a steel V-nose drive on/off. It was good for hauling but it corroded badly. would give it a quick touch up paint every year to keep it looking half decent. Then the frame started and we had to weld plates underneath to keep it...
I'm looking at changing the bottom arms on my std RMK. The US brands kill me in exchange and shipping. Anyone ever use these or even hear of them?

I like your idea, but where does the dollar sign come into play...$100-$1000- $2000??
FWIW, I purchased my sled from one dealer and service at another. My local dealers were the ones that did not want to drop their prices. I brought them the adds from other dealerships, even showed them a hard...
It's actually Holtzman ATACC
Compensates for temp and altitude
I had good luck with that system on older machines, 98 and 2003, and it worked excellent.
Frick, it won't let me put the link in here, but their website is www holtzmaneng.com
thanks for all the feedback, he was most worried if he didn't do this that it would void his warranty. (but it won't).
So update, stopped by dealer. They will go over everything that is listed in the owners manual for the 10 hour checkup. Nothing special that any DIY can do. And the price was...
I have a friend that purchased a couple 2016 renegades last year. We were chatting the other day and he says the sleds need to go to the dealer when they hit a specific km or hour. I thought that was a nice gesture to go over the machine, but it comes with a $500 charge per sled.. He understood...
Like most have mentioned already, that little rip shouldn't cause a problem. Clean it up, cut out the loose chunk, trim the threads (even use a lighter or torch to burn thrds). From a few years back, here's a pic of a track that I drilled two 1" holes per pitch. That thing ran for years and...
I've read these types of stories every year. But it's weird you rarely read it about users other than snowmobilers. Here's a similar story.
Summer is boating time for me and we use Sylvan lake a fair bit. So this late September, I participated in a under water clean up at Sylvan. Yep water was a...
