Single axle enclosed

Looking for a 12' to 14 ' single axle enclosed trailer, any recommendations for good manufacturers and wat to look for in a good trailer. Thanks for any feed back.

I've been looking at these, seems to have what I'm looking for. I've had bad luck with aluminum trailers so I'm looking at steel frame, but these also come in aluminum. Has a long tongue so should be able to haul sleds on my deck still if needed. Haven't seen one in person yet though and can't speak to the quality of it either.

i wonder how heavy the axle is... 3500lb axle??

I had one of these from 4C trailers in Lacombe.
3500 axle, 14 foot to the front of the 'V'. Can haul sleds on an 8' deck no problem with the tongue length.
Only problem I had with it was the trailer pulled heavy. You knew it was there behind a 3500 duramax.
Pulled it behind an f150 hunting one year, neighbor was pulling a 30' holiday trailer with identical truck. Fuel consumption was around 10l more for my neighbour per fill up. two quads in my trailer, a 420 and 500 honda.

What's the issue with aluminum trailers...?


I would also stick with a 5200# axle if you're planning on one of these with a single axle

Go with a small tandem . IMO
Will ride way better and handle better as well .
Plus having brakes when pulling with smaller truck will be a lot nicer .

I have a triton v-nose aluminum at home with a frame that's cracked, bought it used so I'm not sure if damage started before I bought it but looked straight when I picked it up and I used it for 6 years before it let go.

Guess the only complaint I'd have about it is the ramp is setup more for quads than sleds. Wouldn't fit back in the trailer if you put superglides on it. (and its wood so you need them or you damn near go over the bars) Was able to trim the trailer above where the ramp goes to make it fit in there

I own a Triton TC128, its a 12ft aluminum trailer with a single 3500lbs axle and 13" wheels w. electric brakes - it tows really well behind a half ton. I'm happy with the quality of the trailer, it is actually my second TC128, the first one got stolen in Revy last year.

From my experience make sure to not buy a Mirage trailer.
Wells Cargo has been great though.

During the summer I picked up this 2019 ALCOM. It's very similar to the Triton posted earlier. Has a 12' deck, 3500# axle with a few options like 13" wheels. Dry weight is around 1000#. Alcom does manufacturer several brands. Their website is a little behind on pics, but the Snopro model is pretty close the same as mine.

There's a few dealers around Alberta that stock them. So far been great, excellent for 2 machines.
