Unfortunately at $60 oil and sub $4.00 gas, it costs more for production than the product is worth. Banks and shareholders won't allow companies to spend more than they make - accruing debt isn't an option anymore. If these prices stay for the winter then there will be no price recovery until...
I don't want to see anyone lose their job, but I am a realist and I have seen this before. I work in both Canada and the USA. Both places have their challenges but it is so much cheaper to produce oil and gas down south. Without huge royalty subsidies in Canada, there just wouldn't be any...
Clearly a global economy with many many factors in play. Middle East oil is way cheaper to produce and ship to market. The most expensive oil is mined (Oil Sands) followed by SAGD Oil, then Shale and finally conventional. Thus logically, the only oil worth producing at $60/bbl is from the...
With oil prices expected to hang in around $70/bbl, billions of dollars in Capital will be deferred and unfortunately a lot of work will be lost. With so many already stretched to just make the payments, I wonder how long it will take to see the first $12,000 T3.
I wonder if we'll even need...
Anybody notice the markets lately. Looks like $3.50 Gas and $70 Oil until late into 2015. This will cause a correction! Projects will be cancelled as companies try to live within reduced cash flow and some won't make it. Fewer projects equal fewer jobs, just that simple.
Starting to see...
I don't get why diesel is 20-30% more than gas. I understand the supply thing, but we consume so little diesel compared to gas in NA (probably about 1/3). Diesel is a premium cost in Europe but not this premium.
If oil stays below $75 and natural gas under $4.50 for any amount of time, there will be a correction. Programs will be cancelled starting with oil sands and heavy oil, next will be the shale programs and finally conventional gas and oil? The AB, BC and Sask budgets will be significantly...
I sold my Ecoboost so that I could "legally" carry 2000lbs. I bought an F250. I had the heavy GVW package on the F150, the carrying capacity of the F150 is limited by the GAVR of the rear axle NOT the GVWR. This has nothing to do with 1/2 ton vs 3/4 ton.
Open the door, look at the weight...
When you buy the truck, take it to the scales and weigh the front and rear axle. You will be disappointed! I weighed my 2011 F150 with driver only and half tank of fuel. I had less than 1000lbs of capacity left on the rear axle. When they post the carrying capacity; no fluids, no bumper, no...
The issue with the new sleds is they have the ability to take riders (experienced or not) to places they shouldn't be. This could be an especially big problem for someone with less experience and a lack of understanding of snow conditions and risk! The same sled would have cost thousands more...
Unfortunately not - the Rear Axle GAWR on the new F150 will leave you with about 1100lbs max payload. Doesn't natter what the GVWR is, the rear axle capacity is just too low.
Take a look at how much weight you can put on the rear axle. You will never get to max GVWR because you can't carry enough weight on the rear axle. Now if the deck went over top of the cab to put more weight on the front axle ......
There are times when the stock market is the place to be, other times it's bonds or real estate and sometimes they all work and sometimes they don't. It's pretty hard to get any one of them right in the short term, but the good news is that they all work, and work well in the long run (as...
I only have a couple thousand km on the truck. Empty on the highway I am getting 13l/100km and boost gauge rarely moves.
With my 12ff Enclosed Floe with 2 quads, I have been getting 14-15l/100km. The boost gauge has moved to 10lbs.
Lots of power but with the extra 25% premium for diesel...
Good find. I was thinking more about light and heavy truck tires. We have installed hundreds of sets of Duratracs and Silent Armor tires on our fleet trucks. They are good, especially for an All Weather Tire. We now get these directly from Ford and GM on our new trucks.
Yep, looks like 2011. There are not too many all season tires with M&S. I just put a set of Goodyear Ultragrip Winter on my Superduty. Sure worked good travelling from Edmonton to Calgary last night. I thought the Duratracs or BFG AT we're good but nothing compared to a dedicated winter tire.
