Natural Gas price is not going anywhere in the next 10years - it's hard/expensive to ship between continents. Price will stay below $4.00. No natural gas activity in NA unless it comes with condensate or oil. So in Western Canada, natural gas activity will be focused in NW AB and NE BC...
With the Trump win and the probable departure from climate change and associated carbon taxes, Canada will really need to look at the $50/tonne carbon tax. This levy (50% increase in natural gas and electrical bills) will really challenge the Canada's ability to be competitive with the US...
I agree. At 10%, oil and gas is a big part of the economy, especially out West. It's not going anywhere soon (as much as our Govt's think they can replace with solar and wind).
Coal not so much. Electricity generation from coal has been on the decline in NA for years. I can be replaced...
All parts of the economy have contributed to the great way of life we enjoy today. Incredible advancements in agriculture and oil and gas (especially over the past decade) have fundamentally changed how we farm the land and how we recover oil and gas - the best is yet to come.
Right now oil...
Wait until our electrical bills go up 20% in January and another 30% next year due to the carbon tax. People will start to get it.

Oil and gas is the biggest part of the Canadian economy and a significant contributor to the US. It will be back. There is no practical energy replacement for the near or distant future.

Bleeding is not over but this thread is two years old now and we have one year to go. Recovery will be slow. There has been a lot of change, but at least most of it is behind us.

Oil royalties lowered to be consistent with BC and Natural Gas. In effect in 2017 but can apply to put into force in Q4 2016. Without the lower royalties, Canada is not competitive with US - money and jobs simply move south.

Well things are finally getting better out there. Not out of the woods until next Fall, but the end is in sight. Things are going to ramp up in 2017 and there will be a lot of pressure to minimize inflation (price increases, wage improvements, hiring). Every part of the oil and gas sector...
I run the Goodyear Ultra Ice o my Superduty. Good tire for a decent price. Way better than an "All Weather" tire for the winter. There might be better tires out there for winter but not for 30-40% more money.

There has been a lot of problems with the air shocks. Probably the reason why CanAm dropped them off the Max and XMR. Not just leaking but pump and computer problems too.

There are a few parts to this:
Termination Notice- this is a reasonable amount of time that either the employee or employer is required to provide. Varies from province to province but close to a week to several weeks depending on years of service.
Termination Without Cause- rules vary from...
^^^ I agree but there is no tomorrow if you can't get through today. Everyone, every company is trying to find a way through this. The next few months are really going to be difficult.

Nice to see some price recovery in oil and gas, however with oil selling well below $50/bbl and natural gas under $1.00/Mmcf this past year there just isn't any money in the system. There is not going to be much activity until next year.

Anyone have suggestions on who to use to repair a couple small dents and paint chips on my Son's Ram 1500. Calgary and area would be good. Thanks
